Missiva is a short fulldome art film that portrays the intimate questioning of a woman
concerning her relationship to God and her own spirituality. Shot among UNESCO World Heritage
sites in colonial cities in Brazil, Missiva presents the internal landscape of the main character
through the dazzling interiors of historical Baroque churches. The gold and intricate carvings
all around present a sharp contrast and complement to the voiceover narration, a free-adaptation
of a short story by Clarice Lispector, one of Brazil’s most celebrated authors. The audience is
invited to consider new questions and insights into their own view of spirituality as the film unfolds..
