Synopsis

Selas is the word greek for aurora. A fulldome time-lapse photography
short film that presents the spectacular panorama of the Aurora Borealis. Images
taken from the fulldome films «Experience the Aurora» (produced by Evans &
Sutherland) and «Life Under the Arctic Sky» (produced by Mirage3D and BTS
Media).
Apart from the fact that the images in this film showcase the
Aurora Borealis, one of the most impressive phenomena, there is also a cinematic
classification theory that makes this film interesting. In this short film, we have a
compilation of images that were originally presented in two other features.
Therefore, in a way, there has been a post-modern approach in the making of this
production since, through intertextuality, a new work of art has been created.
Hence, from two older works a third one emerges and follows a “life” of its own.
