Immersive Film Festival

Navegar Foundation would like to invite you to the third edition of the Immersive Film Festival - IFF12, which will be held at Centro Multimeios Espinho, Portugal, from 5th to 7th October, 2012. This year edition will be a joint event with the Workhop in Immersive Cinema - WIC12.

It is an event that will gather international productions in the Immersive Cinema field. It is an open invitation to all, producers, animators, filmmakers, artists, students, teachers and planetarium professionals, in order to be part of this unique event.

The Film Festival is redesigned each year in order to broaden the planetarium horizons to a fully immersive theatre dimension and potential, allowing it to receive state of the art events and screenings, promoting the latest premieres and fulldome productions. Other major concern of this festival is to create a place to receive guest attending from all over the world, gather the community and allowing it to share experiences and exchange ideas in a warm and informal way.

Immersive Film Festival competitive section will award the best in fulldome productions. A selected jury will mind the overall of fulldome productions combining direction, artwork, soundtrack, best use of the dome and narrative, among the submitted productions both full fulldome shows and short pieces.
